i am a veteran of underground theatre productions going on almost 10 years of experience self-producing and self-managing, by foraging for knowledge and seeking good mentors.

my performance experience is a radical combination of traditional and non-traditional modes of performance and training. my training intersects traditional chinese movement, anti-singing voice and text work, actions with the whole body. with a special expertise in teaching actors how to better direct themselves on self-produced works.

As a coach, I act as medium between director and actor and text. I work with the actor off-set or on-set to find tangible strategies that activate the actor’s abilities to express what the director/camera/text is looking for.

I am not the teacher for you if…. you like to treat yourself like a machine, or want to be the best puppet possible for The Machine.

I am the teacher for you if… you are seeking more sustainable and radical relationalities with our performing instrument— our body mind— in ways that value not just when we are “on” or “working” but also for when we are “off” and “training”. My classes and sessions are not about perfecting the craft. They are about cracking the craft open For You.

My classes are trauma-informed spaces that do not tolerate any bigotry or cop-behavior. All levels and ranges of experience are welcome. The space I hold and co-create with others is flexible and variable-friendly.
